The Mark
Red-brown RS inside a leafy wreath with a star above, on the underside. The mark does not include the word "Prussia" or a country name. The R.S. wreath mark is known to have been copied, and we have found no evidence that settles the maker or country either way, so we describe this piece as R.S. Prussia style and make no claim that it is original or reproduction. Please see the photo of the mark.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. Light crazing in the outer glaze across the yellow roses. A small glaze bubble and a few rough spots from manufacture. Please see all images; they are part of the description.
Provenance
This jewelry box sat on my grandmother's dresser when I was a young child and has been in our family for more than 50 years.
